PHOSPHATES

Wetland Creation at Home Farm

The Lang Partnership is leading the way with one of the first nutrient neutrality wetlands in the country in collaboration with EnTrade. Whilst the primary aim is to reduce phosphate impact on the Somerset Levels, the wetland will bring a range of benefits including increased biodiversity, reduced downstream flood impact and enhanced amenity to local communities.

We have also established 125 acres of short term mitigation through herbal lay creation.

Our nutrient neutrality projects are all located within the River Parrett Catchment and we have further wetland projects and short mitigation in the pipeline.
