At the heart of what we do is our deep connection to the land and communities around us. The Lang Family are passionate about education and inspiring others to think differently about food, farming, and the vital role of protecting local wildlife. Home Farm along with Bowdens Farm play a significant role in the local community, providing housing and indirect employment to over 90 people and families.
Every year, we welcome the Somerset Kingfisher Award Scheme to our farm, hosting local primary school children for hands-on projects that bring farming and conservation to life. It’s more than a visit – it’s a chance to spark curiosity and a love for nature, celebrated afterwards with a display and awards ceremony. Over the past 11 years, we’ve had the joy of sharing this experience with 64 schools and over 2,000 children.

CLOSE TO HOME
LEARNING
The farm also offers farming advice and provides wildflower seeds for community projects, fostering a connection between the land and its people.
We host a small number of farm walks and educational visits, so please get in touch if you would like to organise something.
CRICKET & TRADITION
The farm proudly hosts Curry Rivel Cricket Club, with the cricket pitch leased to the club for a peppercorn rent and a bottle. Occasionally a member of the Lang family will turn out for the side with mixed levels of success! We are also growing some cricket bat willow on the farm.
FOOTPATHS
Additionally, we have 1.5km permissive footpaths allow conscientious walkers to explore designated areas of the farm, encouraging respectful enjoyment of the beautiful surroundings.
If you’re interested in BNG units or learning more, share your name and email, and our team will be in touch.
